Turkey introduces Green Logistics Certificate to promote sustainable freight transportation

   In a bid to bolster environmentally friendly practices in the logistics sector, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey has introduced the Green Logistics Certificate under the framework of the Combined Transport Regulation. This initiative aims to foster balanced, integrated, and sustainable freight transportation methods, contributing to a greener world.

   Introduced in January 2023, the Green Logistics Certificate marked a pivotal step towards enhancing sustainability within the country’s logistics industry. To qualify for this certification, logistics companies in Turkey must meet a set of stringent criteria designed to promote eco-friendly operations. These include:

   Moreover, the SLog4.0 project aims to assist logistics companies in Turkey in meeting the requirements for obtaining the Green Logistics Certificate. Through this project, human resources will be trained to support companies in implementing sustainable practices effectively.
