Highlights from the SLog4.0 Project Meeting in Maribor

The SLOG4.0 project meeting in Maribor on April 20-21, 2023, brought together all partners to discuss the future of logistics training. This article recaps on the key highlights from the meeting.
The first day kicked off with a warm welcome from the University of Maribor (UM) and the Polytechnic University of Technology (PUT). They presented the agenda and set the stage for the discussions.UM took the lead in presenting the findings of A1, which focused on the current state of training in the logistics sector. They shared the methodology and final design principles derived from the study. This provided a solid foundation for improving logistics training.
Next, UM presented the methodology and final results of A2, which involved designing a questionnaire and conducting a detailed Training Needs Analysis. This step aimed to identify specific training requirements in the logistics sector.UM, along with all partners, engaged in an interactive session to validate the design principles derived from the Delphi Study. This collaborative approach ensured that the final design principles reflected a wide range of perspectives.
Two sessions were dedicated to proposing and discussing the SLog4.0 Curriculum and its components. UM led the discussions on module titles, contents, learning outcomes, teaching methods, scope/duration of training, and recommended ECTS credits. The partners collaborated to develop a comprehensive and effective curriculum.UM defined the work plan for finalizing the SLog4.0 Curriculum, ensuring that it aligns with project goals and industry requirements.ValueDo provided updates on the ongoing quality assurance efforts, emphasizing the project team's commitment to maintaining high standards.
On the second day, GAUN led discussions on establishing a collaborative platform and formulating an action plan for e-learning training materials. The proposed platform aimed to facilitate effective communication and resource sharing among partners. The participants discussed the division of tasks and developed a work plan for implementing the collaborative platform and creating e-learning materials.
UAV provided updates on dissemination efforts and discussed future activities under WP5. The participants identified key channels and events to maximize the project's impact.
The meeting ended with closing remarks, highlighting the successful discussions and outcomes achieved.
The SLOG4.0 project meeting in Maribor showcased the commitment and collaborative efforts of all participants to advance logistics training.
