Ergonomic Seminar of Poznan Branch of Polish Ergonomics Society
During the Ergonomic Seminar of Poznan Branch of Polish Ergonomics Society the Slog4.0 project was presented for the first time on the national level in Poland. In this event there were 29 participants mainly from academia, public organizations and industry.
The presentation was focused on the aim of the project and its results. The presenter, Assoc. Prof. Beata Mrugalska, showed the idea of the project, its main components and finally, and also the results of the Delphi study carried out on the national level. These results are very important for the development of the further steps of the projects as they lead us to define the main modules and topics of the Slog 4.0 course. The proposal of the modules of our future course was very well recognized and it seems to get a great interest among Polish society.
The second part of the presentation referred to social aspects of Logistics 4.0 as in the literature Logistics 4.0 is mainly focused on economic benefits, IT application and information sharing, data analysis methods and data analytics processing, while overlooking these concerns. It is also noticeable that companies' sustainability performance has been considerably improved in the last years. The improvements mainly refer to productivity, accuracy, air emission and supply chain visibility. However, we should remember that sustainability has 3 various dimensions: environment, society, and economy. It is clearly visible when the logistics companies start to consider sustainability within their procedures. The most often identified barriers are: high cost, compliance with legislation, and difficulty in involving clients (Froio and Bezerra, 2021). In order to better and easier customize the products emerging technologies such as 3D printers more and more often are used. Such solutions allow to share the exact design of the product that they are looking for and the company can easily go through the implementing process using the 3D printers (Jamkhaneh et al., 2022).
