Our kick off meeting: the SLog4.0 project has started!

The virtual kick off meeting of the "Slog4.0 - Sustainable Logistics4.0: Digital and green skills for boosting innovation and sustainability of the logistics sector" project was held virtually in September 2022. Despite this change of program, the meeting should have been held in Maribor, the partners showed a strong spirit of adaptation: the meeting strengthened the common objectives of the partnership and officially started the activities.

7 partners from around Europe – Poland, Slovenia, Italy, Turkey, Portugal and Austria– are participating in the project, which started in September 2022 and will last for 3 years. The kick off meeting was held online, on 12th and 13th September 2022, where all project partners were gathered to discuss the basics of the project, the main aim of each thematic work package, and the activities of the upcoming months.

The consortium includes 4 universities, who share the need of proposing an innovative training offer in the field of logistic 4.0 by developing a new interdisciplinary curriculum, and 3 companies providing specialized and advanced services, selected upon the expected commitment proven by consolidated previous relations and their acknowledged proficiency.
The general objective of the project is the creation of a new training course aimed at training the future advanced work-force(HEIs students) in the field of Sustainable Logistics. In order to reach a higher level of sustainability in the logistics processes, the project will analyse the impact the 4.0 technologies can have in the sector. In particular, the training course will focus on the requirements of Industry 4.0 and the concepts of green logistics, in order to contribute in creating a new mind-set in HEIs students and providing them the knowledge and skills needed for green this very specific economic sector.

Follow the project thanks to the updates available on the official website and the social profiles LinkedIn and Facebook (soon online)… we will have a lot to tell you in the coming months!
