SLog4.0 partners successfully defined SUSTAINABLE LOGISTIC 4.0 study course DESIGN PRINCIPLES

One of five activities within WP2 was A2.4 Defining Sustainable Logistic 4.0 course Design Principles. It is a logical and chronological continuation of the first three activities (A2.1, A2.2, and A2.3) within WP2 or a selective synthesis of the findings of the activities mentioned. Project partners updated the first version of the Design Principles defined in WP2 A2.1. When defining design principles, partners considered the needs of logistics companies which were gathered with the help of the Delphi study in WP2 A2.3. Design Principles define learning contents, learning outcomes, and methodological and pedagogical approaches (Figure 1). Activity A2.4 was completed in one month, in May 2023.

The partners faced the most challenging task within WP2 in A2.4. They had to condense the necessary content from the large amount of data collected through Desk research, surveying and the Delphi study so that there would not be too much of it. However, it would still be sufficient to solve green challenges in logistics. A good amount of creativity was required, and all partners also benefited from participation in previous activities, which during the implementation of the activities, put their understanding of Industry 4.0, digitalization and sustainability a few levels higher than the one they entered the project with. Design principles are thus necessary lists of learning contents and methodological and pedagogical approaches necessary for creating the curriculum that will follow in WP2 A2.5.
